Today is Thanksgiving. Every year, families and friends gather from far and wide to be together and celebrate life’s abundance on this day.
It’s a really good time for reflection.
Today also would have been my Pops’ 95th birthday. We lost him 8 months ago today. I think about him every day and the impact he had on me as a person. Although I am still so sad that he is gone, I am thankful for all the wonderful and funny memories I have.
It’s been quite a year, but I am so thankful for my family. Although we have our daily struggles, we are a team.
I am super grateful for my friends. This year has been really rough, and my friends have been there for me in so many ways. I am so incredibly lucky to have each and every one of them in my life.
And lastly, I am thankful for my husband Mike. He makes every day better, and is really cute in the process. I’m a lucky, lucky woman.
So while you’re carving turkeys and gorging yourself on stuffing and green bean casserole, remember what today is all about… and be thankful.
